South Korean national team midfielder Lee Kang-in will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s decisive Ligue 1 title match due to an ankle injury.

PSG announced the injury update on their official website on Tuesday, ahead of their away match against RC Lens on Wednesday (local time) in the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season’s 29th round. The club stated Lee sustained a left ankle injury during the previous game against Brest and will undergo indoor training for the next few days.
Lee started in PSG’s 1-0 home win over Brest on Sunday but was substituted in the 53rd minute for Désiré Doué. During first-half stoppage time, he went down after being caught by a defender’s foot while cutting into the penalty area from the right side, raising injury concerns. He returned after halftime but was unable to continue for long before being replaced.

While the club’s announcement suggests the injury is not severe enough to affect his participation in the 2026 World Cup, now just a month away, Lee will miss the chance to celebrate PSG’s Ligue 1 title on the pitch this season.
PSG currently sit top with 73 points from 33 matches, six points ahead of second-placed Lens, who have played 32 games. A draw in this rescheduled fixture would secure PSG their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title and the 14th in the club’s history.
Meanwhile, PSG confirmed that defenders William Pacho and Nuno Mendes, and midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery continue their rehabilitation. Defender Achraf Hakimi, goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, and forward Quentin N’Gantou, also recovering from injuries, are training individually outdoors.
