Omar Montes, one of Spain’s most-streamed artists, is known for his chart-topping hits and close friendships with global sports stars like UFC fighter Ilia Topuria. But beyond the stage, he has also made headlines for his social activism. In recent hours, Montes went viral on Instagram after sharing a series of videos that captured a dog in distress—locked inside a parked car by its owner.
The singer spotted the scene at a popular shopping center and quickly took action. “There’s a little dog that’s in bad shape. I hope someone comes to let it out,” Montes said as the animal paced frantically inside the vehicle, panting heavily and trying to escape.
In a second story, he wrote: “The poor thing is crying. I can’t take it anymore.” The dog’s whimpers grew louder with each passing second, clearly audible in the clip.
Shortly after, Omar Montes explained the outcome: “The little dog is now back with its owners. I don’t regret breaking a window to get an animal out that was alone and locked in a car for two hours, crying. I’ll have to pay for the window, but I do it gladly. If the dog’s owners read this, I hope you understand that a dog is not a toy, and you can’t leave it locked in a car while you watch a movie or eat dinner at the burger place.”
