Anaheim Ducks goaltender Lukáš Dostál will be back between the pipes for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs second-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights, with the Ducks trailing 1-2 in the series.
In Game 3, the Czech netminder allowed three goals on eight shots in the first period and was replaced by Ville Husso at the start of the second. Husso turned away 17 shots in relief.
This marks the second time in the postseason that the Ducks have pulled Dostál during a game. Earlier, in Game 5 of the first-round series against Edmonton (a 1-4 loss), he was yanked after conceding three goals on nine shots in the opening frame.
“I think after that decision [in Game 5 against the Oilers], he showed the right reaction – he came back and played three very strong games, really good games. Sometimes things like that help you reset a little, calm down, and be ready again,” said Anaheim head coach Joel Quenneville.
